Privacy Policy — Property Validator

Property Validator runs on your device. The property details you enter, the reports we generate, and your answers about your own finances stay on your phone unless you choose to create an account. We do not sell your data, we do not share it with builders, brokers or sellers, and we do not use it to advertise to you.

1. What we collect

If you use the app without an account

Nothing leaves your device. Property details, your budget and income answers, and every report are stored in your phone's local storage. We cannot see them. Uninstalling the app deletes them.

If you buy anything

Payments are processed by Google Play. We never see or store your card number, UPI ID, bank details or CVV. We receive only a confirmation that a purchase succeeded, its amount, and an identifier for it, so we can unlock what you paid for.

Automatically collected

Nothing. This app contains no analytics SDK, no crash-reporting SDK and no advertising SDK. We do not measure how you use the app.

Google Play collects some technical diagnostics for every app on the store, independently of us and under Google's own privacy policy. We do not control that collection and receive no personal data from it.

2. What we do NOT collect

No location tracking. The app never requests location permission.
No contacts, photos, camera, microphone or call logs.
No advertising identifiers. There is no advertising in this app.
No analytics or behavioural profiling.
No selling or renting of personal data to anyone, for any purpose.
No sharing with builders, brokers, developers or sellers. We take no money from them and give them nothing about you.

3. Why we are allowed to process it

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, we process your personal data on the basis of the consent you give when you create an account, and for the specific purposes described above. You may withdraw that consent at any time by deleting your account (see section 6). Where you use the app without an account, no personal data reaches us at all.

4. Who else touches your data

We use a small number of processors, each limited to its stated purpose:

Supabase — stores your account credentials and your saved properties.
Google Play Billing — processes all payments made in the app.
RevenueCat — records which purchases you have made so the app knows what to unlock. It receives a purchase identifier and your subscription status, not your payment details and not your property data.

These providers operate infrastructure outside India, so your account data may be processed outside India. The DPDP Act permits this except to territories the Central Government has restricted, and we do not transfer data to any restricted territory.

We use no other processors. If that changes, this policy changes first.

5. How long we keep it

Local data: until you delete it or uninstall the app.
Account data: until you delete your account.
Purchase records: retained as long as tax and accounting law requires. If you delete your account, these are anonymised — the invoice survives, your name and email do not.

6. Your rights

Under the DPDP Act you may:

Access the personal data we hold about you.
Correct anything inaccurate — edit it in the app, or write to us.
Erase it. Delete your account from Account → Delete account inside the app. This permanently removes your account and everything stored with it. It cannot be undone.
Withdraw consent, which is what account deletion does.
Nominate someone to exercise these rights if you die or become incapacitated.
Complain to the Data Protection Board of India if we do not resolve your grievance.

7. Children

This app is not directed at anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Security

Passwords are hashed, never stored in readable form. Data in transit is encrypted with TLS. Access to production data is restricted to people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise — but we hold no card numbers or bank details, which materially limits what a breach could expose.

9. An important note about what this app is

Property Validator provides decision support for your own due diligence. It is not legal advice, not a title opinion, not a valuation, and not investment advice. Its assessments are generated from information you supply and from reference data that changes over time. Before committing money to any property, engage an advocate for a title search and a registered valuer for a valuation. We accept no liability for decisions taken on the basis of the app's output.

10. Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top and, where the change is material, tell you in the app before it takes effect.
